Socrates
The Eikos concept came from recognition that many business processes could be represented as a series of phases corresponding to periods in a project life-cycle. In 2005 a gap was identified for software to meet the needs of Oil and Gas companies to implement a consistent, controlled process across multiple business units and have regular project-specific reports made against this process. In meeting this need a new software type was created that meets generic business needs across many sectors.

The User Requirement Specification (URS) design work for Eikos began in 2005. Coding began in 2006 and the first commercial system was implemented in February 2007.

Eikos continues to evolve with new builds scheduled once every quarter. Among the many benefits of this web based system is that new features are made available immediately to users without having to install anything on their local network.

The meaning of EIKOS?

Socrates defines the ancient Greek word EIKOS as "likeness to truth"
(Bernstein, "Against the Gods", 1998, John Wiley & Sons, New York)

EikosTM allows you to present the status of a project at any point in the life cycle against the requirements of an agreed process with unprecedented "likeness to the truth".
